Viewpoint Vision automatic wheelchair vans for handicap use operate easily with the push of a button on a standard keychain remote control. Unlike other lowered floor minivans, Viewpoint accessible minivans allow for wheelchair access through the back of the accessible van instead of from the side. The Vision handicap accessible van unique design has a channel cut into the floor from the back door to just behind the front driver and passenger seats. Because of this innovative design, wheelchair passengers can simply drive into and back out of the vehicle.
A variety of seating configurations are available on an automatic handicap accessible conversion. Middle row seating is not lost to the conversion process, enabling a wheelchair passenger to sit between two bucket seats in the middle row. A third row flip down bench is also available as an option, increasing the seating capacity of the vehicle to 6 ambulatory passengers and 1 wheelchair user. The middle row bucket seats also allow for a wheelchair user to be attended if necessary.
